What is Scream And Run?
Scream And Run is a fast-paced Roblox survival horror game created by Scream And Run Studios. You wake up locked inside a school after dark while a twisted Cat in the Hat stalks the hallways. Your only goal is to find the hidden keys scattered across classrooms and backpacks, unlock the exit, and get out alive.
Cat in the Hat Monster
A twisted Cat in the Hat roams the School map on unpredictable patrol routes. Noise and sight both trigger chases, so silent movement matters.
5 Hidden Keys
Every round hides 5 exit keys in classrooms, desk drawers, lockers and backpacks. Key spawns randomize, so you always have to search.
Flashlight & Stealth
The flashlight lets you see in the dark but can reveal your position. Learn when to light up and when to crawl in pitch black.
Two Maps
Escape the School with the Cat in the Hat, then survive the dark Mines where Dark Thomas the Train hunts you through the tunnels.
The game mixes classic escape-room tension with hide-and-seek stealth. Every round plays differently: the monster patrols unpredictable routes, sounds like footsteps and lockers draw its attention, and the flashlight that helps you see can also give you away. A recent update added a second map, the dark Mines, with a new monster hunting you through the tunnels. Since launching in late August 2026, Scream And Run has been played over 10 million times, earned more than 74,000 favorites, and caught the attention of major Roblox creators including KreekCraft.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I escape in Scream And Run?+
Find all 5 exit keys hidden around the map, then make your way to the exit door and unlock it. Keys spawn in classrooms, desk drawers, lockers and backpacks, and their locations randomize every round. Search thoroughly, stay quiet while the monster patrols nearby, and sprint for the exit only when you are sure the coast is clear.
Where are the 5 keys in Scream And Run?+
The 5 exit keys spawn in randomized spots each round: inside classroom desks, in lockers, on top of shelving, and inside searchable backpacks. Check every room systematically instead of guessing, and keep an eye on the HUD key counter to know how many are still missing. Backpack loot is especially valuable because a single backpack can hide a key or a battery.
How do I avoid the Cat in the Hat?+
The Cat in the Hat patrols the school on unpredictable routes and starts a chase when it sees you or hears noise. Crouch and crawl to move silently, hide in lockers and under desks when it is close, and break line of sight around corners and through doorways. Do not sprint or open lockers near the monster unless you are ready to run.
What are the Scream And Run controls?+
Run with Shift, crouch and crawl with C, slide with Shift + C, and toggle the flashlight with F. Crouching lowers your noise, crawling lets you fit under desks and through tight gaps, and sliding helps you dodge under obstacles during a chase. Stamina limits how long you can sprint, so manage it carefully.
How many maps are in Scream And Run?+
Scream And Run currently has two maps: the School, where the Cat in the Hat hunts you, and the Mines, a dark underground map added in the September 2026 update where Dark Thomas the Train roams the tunnels. More maps have been teased by the developers on their roadmap.
Which game mode should I play?+
Start with Escape mode to learn the core loop of collecting keys and unlocking the exit. Use Free Roam to explore the maps and memorize key spawns without pressure, then practice routes solo before jumping into co-op with friends. Hide And Seek is a great warm-up for stealth because hiding and silence matter more than speed.
Ready to Escape Scream And Run?
Whether you are hiding from the Cat in the Hat for the first time or grinding the Mines map for every last key, the guides on this wiki will help you survive longer, escape faster and never get caught again.
